Alaric J. Klaos attends Virgil Abloh’s first LV Men’s Show in Paris

There were few fashion shows in 2018’s Paris Men’s Fashion Week lineup with as much built up anticipation as Virgil Abloh’s debut show as the new artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear. Artfully titled “We are the World”, the highly anticipated show featured “accessomorphosis” pieces, a process coined by Abloh that explores the relationship between garment and accessory. Afforded the opportunity to be in attendance, Alaric J. Klaos couldn’t help but be inspired saying, “The collection was genius. I thought it was very inspirational and it gave me a second wind in terms of getting my own creative juices flowing. Being present to see the first African American man to design for Louis Vuitton was extraordinary and definitely an experience I was honored to be a part of.” Alaric was not the only one left feeling inspired by the 56-look collection; the carefully curated lineup was esteemed by everyone in attendance as the show concluded with a standing ovation. Alaric’s affiliation with the world-renowned brand blossomed from his friendship with Benoit Vuitton and has naturally spread its roots to high fashion-newcomer Virgil Abloh. The “hug seen round the world” closed out the show as Virgil and his long-time mentor Kanye West shared an emotional embrace at the end of the runway. Also in attendance were wife Kim Kardashian and sister Kylie Jenner, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna and Bella Hadid amongst other famous names.
